Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese and Cooking Cream

First of all, I'm not a fan of plain cream cheese. I know some people can eat it that way and I just can't do it. On the other hand I love cream cheese frosting so I figured it might be worth my while to try the new Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese and Cooking Cream that I'd seen advertised time and time again on commercials. To top it off, I had a $1.50 off coupon which at my HEB made it a whopping $.98!! You can't beat 98 cents for any dairy product!

Well, we finally put the product to the test and mixed it with chicken and noodles...nothing was added to compromise the taste. I asked my significant other what he thought of the dinner and he asked if I put pickles in it. I said, "Why would I put pickles in it!?" Sure enough, I took a bite and there was a pickle-ish taste in the first bite. If you're not expecting it, and  you expect to run into a savory, smooth, creamy sauce, then you need to shop on another aisle because this is not what you get when cooking with the Cooking Cream. We tried the Italian Cheese and Herb Cooking Cream. On one hand I'm glad I had a coupon for it, and on another I'm glad I didn't spend a fortune on something I know I'll never buy again.

My verdict: PAAAAASS!!!

Extreme Couponing

Have you seen that show? I'm addicted!! Although some of those women are crazy and dig through dumpsters, they do have a point to the show...anything and everything can be bought at a rock-bottom price. I have recently joined a few taste-testing groups online and "Like" a lot more than I did before on Facebook, but currently only at my expense. What's a few extra Wall posts, right? I'll keep you informed about who to "Like" and what websites are worth registering for. If I don't have much to write about one day, I'll throw a tip in here and there. Here's to saving both time, money and sanity!
